My name is Joe and I joined SugarLoot on February 13.
I love traveling and taking pictures but can't really say photography because that is too professional for my ability and my equipment. My Canon 35mm is so beat up that real photographers would scold me! I even seem to have lost dozens of digital pics I've taken too.. need to find those so I can enter more Sugarloot contests.

I like to read and write and waste time online and with video games.

I am a fan of everything, pretty much, and enjoy learning things (have a huge Discovery Channel and History Channel DVD collection).

I have a HUGE HUGE backlog of books to read once I finally get my faculty to sign off on this dissertation of mine. All this work I've done the last 18 months and the power to be done rests with them. Very frustrating. Once it's done... oh man... so much to read, such a burden lifted, I don't even know what I'll do... oh right try to find a job at a wonderful college or university.

I try to be creative and I love the products of creativity. Creative people are wonderful and fun, and I like to know them.
There are a lot of creative people here on Sugarloot, and most of you are teenagers so I hope you keep that creative spirit as you get older. As for those like me who are already older... we're trying to keep the creative flames burning for you.

I try to live as a good person but sadly bad things happen to me and to those I love which makes me curse a lot and mutter a lot, but I am not as angry a person as I might sound sometimes. Life is tough, but I guess this is why I need to lower my head and keep pushing forward against those bad winds buffeting me and my family these days.
